I’m Nikki, the photographer behind Nicole April Photography, an award-winning wedding photographer based in Upstate New York.
I’ve always loved everything about weddings—the big moments, the tiny details, and especially all of the moments in between that you didn’t even realize were happening. I actually studied wedding planning before finding my place behind the camera, and that background has given me a unique perspective on a wedding day. I understand the timeline, the details, the emotions, and sometimes even the organized chaos that comes along with it.

A little more about me…
When I’m not photographing weddings, I’m a wife and mom to four boys—which means life is rarely quiet! We’re a hockey family, so there’s a pretty good chance that if I’m not holding a camera, I’m sitting in an ice rink somewhere.
I love weddings, genuine connections, beautiful light, happy tears, belly laughs, and couples who aren’t afraid to just be themselves.
After photographing so many love stories, I still get excited for every single one.
